21 poems.
If you listen closely, you'll find the whispers of the wind all around you...
These 21 poems were compiled for a writing contest through Bookleaf Publishing. From Autumn through Summer, these poems reflect the sounds of voices caught on the wind. Voices of fear, voices of unrequited love, voices of distrust, voices of anxiety. In the end, however, they're just the wind's whispers.

The Twin Keepers (Short Story) by Alex Tilley
With Anne Rice being one of my favourite authors, I've always had an interest in doing a story about vampires. "The Twin Keepers" is a Gemini-themed short story about a pair of starved, vampirical, twin-minded beings who grow in decline as they watch over a mysterious sleeping master. While wallowing in misery, the twins are visited by a mysterious woman who reawakens their hunger.

Gridiron Gates of Hell (Edited by Loki DeWitt)
Gridiron Gates Of Hell (Edited by Loki Dewitt) (Goodreads)
Dead leaves crunch like bones under their cleats.
The feral screams from die-hard fans penetrate their helmets.
Seconds later the pigskin will be snapped but the horrors that await these players can’t be defeated with a slant route or a half-back toss to move the chains.
A Superbowl party turns into a gruesome revenge plot. Memories meld in a mind-bending melee when a military vet is invited back to a high school football game. A cheerleader’s plan to help the home team win involves brutal murder. Fans, players, and coaches alike, must band together to take down an ever-growing monster.
Including stories about slashers, the paranormal, and creatures, the Gridiron Gates of Hell showcases some of indie horror’s top talents as they tackle a range of macabre tales from endzone to endzone.

When the Dust Settles (Short Story) by Alex Tilley
Unfortunately, the Lions didn't make the Superbowl, but what a season. I dedicate this short story to my buddies who are die-hard Lion's fans, especially @bizzair, whose appreciation for post-apocalyptic worlds inspired this story.
When the Dust Settles is not my usual style, but after reading it along with many other pieces in this collection, I'm stoked that @lokidewitt accepted it.

Writer's Retreat: Tales of Writing and Madness (Edited by Scott McGregor) (Goodreads)
No one said being a writer was easy. In fact, there’s so much more to fear than simply writer’s block or misspelled words. Tales of impostor syndrome, misplaced manuscripts, false hopes, thievery and much more…

Malevolent typewriters, method writing, shadow spirits, half-dead darlings, envious fans, sinister reviewers, getaway writing competitions, and many other tales within this collection will teach readers all about the dark, twisted nature behind the creative process.
